Making progress, Hurricane Ida held me up a few days, due to rain. I am not worried about the detail because I already plan on sanding the foam and adding details with clay or bondo. This is fine for my purpose because I intend to use the Pep as a mold for my next step, filling the helm with expandable foam. I didn't use any glue, I used Masking Tape. So if you see me trying something that has been done before let me know, so I can see how they have done it and maybe I can learn from their successes and mistakes. but I have only been hear about three months. I will also try to detail the process I am going to use. If only to justify and settle my nervousness about trying something new. I've seen the stickys, watched the Smooth On videos but I know there is still much to learn about the process. I've never done any molding of objects this size so if anyone has some good advice or know of any really good threads on the boards, let me know. I am also going to be trying a different method, I am not sure how it will work but the final goal of this WIP is to build a mold and cast a few of these so I can have several different chapters lining my book case. I will try to keep them updated regularly. You are talented!įor those of you interested in building your own Corvus Armor check out Samuray's Thread here:īelow you will find my WIP Photos. A big thank you for the work and I truly hope the skill you are using to build these files takes you somewhere. I am merely the monkey gluing it all together. The amount of energy and time he has put in to these models is unreal! He is true y the artist behind this build. Without his talented 3d abilities this wouldn't be possible. Now all grown up there isn't enough time or any place close to play, instead I am going to build my own space marine.įirst I must give an amazing shout out to Samuray. I painted and repainted those three men at a dozen times. Parts were missing but the nice guy at the store pieced together a complete set for me and I was the happiest kid in the world. I knew we didn't have a lot of money after the move from PA, so I picked the cheapest miniature I could find from the discount box. My long sob story short, I moved to Florida, had no friends, so my dad took me to a place called 1701 Enterprise, now know as Sci-fi City. I spent two months working out all the logistics for Sophie's Armor and in the last few hours I had to throw together an Optimus Prime costume together in 6 hours! In the end all the hard work paid off, the kids were very happy, the neighbors were blown away and my kids felt like movie stars! I'm addicted, I can't help it! Halloween went over very well.
